Evidence suggests long-chain omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil and other marine sources can change canine inflammatory and immune responses. In this article, findings are provided on the ability of dogs to metabolise omega-3 fatty acids and the resulting impacts on skin and coat, inflammatory responses, and development of the nervous system in puppies.
