This case study shows the benefits of Purina ProPlan Veterinary Diets Canine EN Gastrointestinal and FortiFlora in the management of a case of chronic colitis in a dog, one of the most common causes of chronic diarrhoea in dogs. Nutritional management of canine colitis includes adequate dietary fibre and high digestibility to reduce the amount of ingesta reaching the colon, as well as probiotics due to their inmunomodulatory effect and benefits on colonic microflora.
