This article looks at food hypersensitivity and its relation with other allergic diseases in humans. Parental atopy and early exposure to common allergenic ingredients increase the risk of food intolerance. It reviews the common allergenic foods and the ages they should be introduced to reduce the incidence of food allergy in humans.
